Valentina loves pushing her self beyond what she can do. In track doing 5ks and long distance beyond the reach of what a normal kid can do at 10 years old. In taekwondo pushing her self while sparring even though she knows it’s challenging and it’s hard. Going up against kids double her size but still having a great attitude and showing up. This is what Valentina loves about sports pushing her self beyond what she can do.
Valentina Grandpa inspires her in track and doing long distance. Her grandpa has ALS and used to run marathons and all long distance running. She wants to make her grandpa proud in life. Her sister impacted her to start taekwondo and loved it since she was 2 years old. She being the youngest getting dragged around everywhere one of those times she discovered taekwondo and wanted to start immediately. She is inspired daily by Jesus.
One moment in her athletic career was she ran her first ever 5k and then won 2nd place for women’s which she still reminds everyone to this day. In taekwondo one moment was getting her black belt wrapped around her remembering her of the moments it took to get this far. In track winning 2nd showed her she pushed her limits despite being the youngest there but the mightiest girl standing on that podium.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
