The competition, being part of the team and making a difference, when shes on the mound although is stressful and I’m on pins and needles, she tells me she feels free, secure and confident.
She’s inspired by her older sister who was also a softball player and played D1 softball and is now a teacher. She pushes her to be better when things are easy and to push even harder when things get tough.
It was when she fell and hurt her leg before a tournament and still pitched 2 games while limping to help her team win the championship… that day for me she became my hero. 🥹
