What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Vince was born ready to take on the world. When he rolled over at only a few weeks old, we knew his strength and resilience was something special, even as a newborn. He loves sports because it allows him to challenge himself and improve. The camaraderie with his teammates is important, and for him, it's about becoming the best version of himself and creating lasting memories. Each sport offers unique opportunities for personal growth and shared experiences that he cherishes.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Vince is inspired by all his coaches, especially his wrestling and baseball coaches, who encourage him to believe in himself. A college football player from out of state, Jeremiah, also motivates Vince. After Vince stood out to him at a local football camp, he became a mentor to Vince. Now as though a part of our family, Jeremiah has shared dinners and church with us. He inspires Vince to stay calm, focused, and to strive to be his best, reminding him to never give up.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of his proudest moments came when he won the Missouri State Wrestling Championship. Not only did he secure 1st place in Missouri, but he also achieved his goal of winning 1st place at Missouri Nationals and became a 2-time Adidas Nationals Champion. As a multi-sport athlete who competes in all 3 seasons, this accomplishment is significant for him. Vince's character shines through as he shows kindness to his opponents, helping them up, which speaks volumes about his sportsmanship.
