He loves everything about baseball! He loves hitting, catching and sliding into bases. He practices every day so he can get better. He likes playing any position because he just wants to be on the field helping his team. He thinks being apart of a team is fun especially seeing his friends make great plays. Another thing he loves is learning from his coaches. Baseball makes him happy!
Vince is inspired by his dad, who coaches, practices, and always supports him with advice and encouragement. His dad makes baseball fun and helps him improve everyday. His other coaches also play a big role by helping him learn and grow. Vince also looks up to Pete Alonso from the Mets because he plays first base, Vince’s favorite position, and shows how hard work and a great attitude can make you a great player!
One of my proudest moments was when Vince was playing center field in an All-Stars game one night. A fast fly ball was hit his way. He yelled “I got it!” and ran hard, even colliding with the left fielder and falling over him-but he still made the catch! It was an amazing play for a 7 year old and showed his hustle, focus and love for the game. Everyone cheered, and Vince was so proud he held the ball up with a huge smile!
