He loves to challenge himself and his teammates. It’s an opportunity to bond with his brother, family, and friends. He will argue that baseball is the greatest sport of all time and most of all it’s the friendships that are the best. He will tell you that the kids he grew up with in little league are “40 best friends”.
Vinny has always been inspired by Jackie Robinson since he was 4. He’s worn the #42 in little league and inspired by Jackie’s story of perseverance despite facing discrimination. Jackie Robinson had a true love for the game as does Vinny.
When Vinny pitched a perfect game at age 11 he recognized his teammates and the team effort. At one point during the game a kid made an important play and Vinny yelled “I love you!” Vinny always recognizes the positive qualities in his teammates and is supportive when they’re struggling. But most of all, Vinny has struggled with Osgood Schlatter Disease which causes him severe knee pain and despite that, he managed to play on three baseball teams and never complained about the pain.
