Violet loves being one step ahead! She prides herself on knowing the game, the other team and how to work with her own team for the best approach to win a game. And if she doesn’t win with her team, she wants to know that she did 100% her absolute best to reach for the win. She loves the challenges the most. She would choose every game to play harder teams to better her experience. For V, It’s about being dominant personally and knowing she played each game better than the last one.
She is inspired by so many people, including her 4 older siblings and her new niece who all cheer her on, her parents, and college players that she loves to watch on the tv, her phone, etc. But to choose one person, she would say her pitching coach, Jess. Having just started lessons one year ago, Violet has put in so much work and will not stop until she is the best!
There are so many to choose from. From playing an entire weekend not knowing she had Covid and hitting 5 inside the park home runs, to riding to 2 siblings graduations in one day, and still making it to help out her team out of town with zero complaints. But my #1 proudest moment was the time she pitched her first no hitter, and there was no boasting, no showing off…just a sweet smile and calmness on her way to the dugout.
