Being able to work with a team that’ll support you like a family, no matter the hardship or challenges. She loves showing up and giving her all, pushing herself to the limits, and if something gets in her way, she comes back stronger than ever.
It’s hard to pick just one person that embodies the inspiration she gets from cheer on and off the field. The idea of cheer is what inspires her. Being able to go on the field, knowing she’s working hard to win not just a title, but win with her team; her family. The nervousness, excitement, and even when the exhaustion takes over, cheer is what keeps her going, even if what she’s doing isn’t about cheer. The qualities she has learned helps her with every challenge she faces.
As a parent, my most proud moment was watching my daughter approach a team that had just beaten them (and rightfully so). They were a little hesitant as she walked up to them until she started celebrating with them. Congratulating them, hugging them. Even though her team has had massive success in the sport she is still so humble and happy to support those around her, even if they’re in direct competition with her.
