You decide who will be named Youth Athlete of the Year, featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated, and take home $25,000
Waili loves softball not only because she is learning a new sport, but as well her great coach Jesse Curry and it has taught her other things like it’s okay to fail but that it’s not okay to give up. She’s very thankful for her coach she says he’s the best coach she could ever ask for. On top of that she loves her team and other coaches as well. They all support one another and she says, “our dugout is louder than any other dugout you’ll ever hear”.
Waili’s first inspiration is to shine bright for her Momma in heaven. She’s also very inspired by her father, her Coach and her very good friend soon to be in law sister Hallie.
My proudest moment in my daughter’s athletic journey isn’t a win or a trophy—it’s that she kept going after losing her mama. Through heartbreak and grief, she chose to keep showing up, keep playing, and keep pushing. Her strength, resilience, and love for the game—and for her mom—shine every time she steps on the field. I’m so incredibly proud of the athlete and person she’s becoming. Her mama would be proud too.
