Warren is the true definition of good sportsmanship and a great attitude. If something doesn't go his way he doesn't let it get him down. He shakes it off and tackles it head on the next time. He loves the challenge. You never see him with a bad attitude and that is something he has been recognized and appreciated for throughout his baseball career. He loves hyping up and uplifting his teammates. He also looks at every opportunity on the field as a way to make a positive difference for his team.
At the start of his baseball career he was inspired by the legendary Jackie Robinson, hence the reason his jersey number is "42." Warren's grandfather also played baseball. He has younger brothers that look up to him and they want to follow in his footsteps, so that inspires him to keep getting better and set a good example for them.
Warren was in a slump for what seemed like forever, it happens. He practiced and trained, but he was still in a slump. What I was most proud was to see him pull himself out of it. One weekend, it's like a switch flipped. He pitched great and hit a triple with 2 RBI's. Regardless of any comments made to him or about him, he never let that stop him. It didn't stop him then and it won't stop him now. I could not be more proud of his character and determination.
