Westin loves basketball. He practices every day with hard workouts, keeps his grades up, works to be better, and is a great teammate.

Wes loves the competition, the brotherhood of his teammates, and the work ethic of basketball. All of these things drive him to be the best player/ person he can be.
He has had many inspirational figures in his life. I like to say he has taken a little bit from each of them and uses that to inspire himself to do better. I see traits from his past trainers, his dad, grandfathers all in his basketball and life efforts. God is an inspiration also. He works hard to be a good person, coachable, and teammate.
My proudest moment cannot be put into one single moment. I'm just so proud each time goes to workout on his own when nobody tells him to, the extra training sessions that he goes to without them being required, the support he gives his team, and the way younger players say that they want to play like him. Or when another adult tells me how respectful he is on and off the court, what an high level basketball I they see in him and they love to watch his game. All of these things make me so proud!
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
