What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Will loves soccer because it gives him a sense of belonging to a group. He thrives on the energy, challenges and a sense of freedom, to play, and have fun. It gives my son confidence, and the strength to focus to play something he loves

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I would like to think everything has to do with his mom ha! however, it’s does but I need to share the spotlight with my husband as well. We are his biggest fans, and never want him to give up but want him to love the game for himself. As for on the field this would be his coaches and idols like lamine, Messi and Ronaldo. They show kindness, and the resilience to overcome obstacles just like my son . Will loves positive role models, and watching reels to improve his game.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

It’s not about the most goals and winning championship games. Yes, it’s fun to watch but it’s the determination , the joy on my son’s face when he plays and the love of the game. He recently made an ECNL team and starts the end of August. He realized what hard work means, he believing in himself more, and building confidence he never had before. That drive and passion is enough for me to be proud.
