What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Basketball is pure joy for Wyatt, from learning new skills with every coach to bonding with teammates, chatting with refs, and showing sportsmanship. He loves playing against familiar faces, sharing laughs, helping each other up, and giving props where it’s due. The game brings out his passion, respect, and love for the basketball community.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Wyatt is inspired by Kyrie Irving, a shorter point guard with elite handles and court control and by his mom, who taught him the game and gave him the mental strength to overcome injury and grow through adversity. On and off the court, they both remind him that heart, skill, and mindset matter most.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

After surgery for severe OCD of the knee, just 1 year ago, which included bone grafts, stem cells, and 16 drill passages, Wyatt faced 9 months off the court. He powered through over 200 hours of rehab, grew 6 inches, and rebuilt his body and mindset. Now playing in 3 leagues and chasing his high school basketball dream, his resilience, passion, and heart after such a major recovery inspire everyone around him.
