What I love most about playing sports is that it always gives me something to look forward to. No matter what kind of day I’ve had, I know sports will be fun and keep me from ever feeling bored. I like staying active, working hard and being part of a team- it makes every season exciting.
Someone who inspires me is my dad. He coaches me in football, basketball and baseball and always pushes me do my best. He works hard, helps others, and shows me how to be a good teammate and leader. He’s at all my games, cheers me on and teaches me how to get better. I want to be like him.
One moment that makes me really proud is when I tried long jump for the first time and ended up winning the 9-10 age group at the Indiana Youth Track meet. I had only tried it once before at our elementary county meet but gave it my best and it felt amazing to win. It showed me that trying something new can lead to big accomplishments.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
