What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the challenges set forth to him by his coach and teammates. He also enjoys the camaraderie that he is able to develop with his team mates as well as with players from other teams.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

The one person that inspires him is Shohei Ohtani. He sees how hard he works to be as successful as he is and strives to one day be as good as him. He admires him for being a pitcher but also still hitting, which is rare with a pitcher. He is also a pitcher and strives to one day be as good as Ohtani.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There are so many moments that have made me proud throughout his baseball career so far. The one moment that lives rent free in my mind is the time he was pitching in a tournament and the batter hit the ball straight back at him and he had lighteneing fast reflexes and caught the ball directly in front of his face. Not only was I shocked at the quick reflexes that came out of nowhere but relieved as he didn't take a ball to the face.
