What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the challenge, the leadership, the friends and the traveling. He enjoys playing at a high level and helping his team win. His favorite positions are pitcher, centerfield and playing wide receiver.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

He is inspired by Jackie Robinson, Fernando Tatis, and Jalen McMillan. He also looks up to his older brothers Jayden and Kenyan Jones, who continue to be his mentors, while they are playing college baseball and high school baseball and football. Xander is inspired by his older sister Kendal as she has a 4.32 GPA and is a student athlete. Like Kendal, he excels in his education, getting straight A’s every semester, hoping to attend the college of his choice for education and sports.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

In July 2024 when he played in Cooperstown, NY for their baseball tournament. Xander was in a very serious car accident 3 days before the first game and was very lucky to just have sone minor bruising and aches. He pitched amazing for his team in several games, and hit a huge home run. He kept his head up and was a leader for his team in the dorms and on the field. His coaches and teammates alike, were so impressed by his performance and positive attitude.
