Yasiel has grown up watching his older brother Esteban ( 18yrs. old. ) play soccer. Per Yasiel, “my brother trains me, he’s always nice to me, and I’ve learned so much from him mom and I really admire how he plays and how he always supports me mom". Esteban sets not just with his skills, but with his heart. Just like his own idol Messi, Esteban leads him with humbleness and dedication and that's the same mindset he's passing on to Yasiel.
During a league game, Yasiel received a perfect pass from his teammate Jacob, and without hesitation, he took the shot and scored an incredible goal from outside the box, we won that game! Just seeing the joy and confidence on Yasiel’s face, and the way he ran straight to hug Jacob right after was priceless. When he got in the car he told me "Mom that goal was not just mine it was Jacob's too because he gave me a good assist". Yasiel plays with heart and for his team.
