What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What my daughter loves most about flag football is the adrenaline and intensity. She lights up when she talks about chasing down a flag or making a huge defensive stop. She thrives on the energy of the game, the teamwork, and the pressure of big moments. You can see how alive she feels when she’s on that field. Win or lose, she gives it everything. Her love for the sport runs deep and it’s truly inspiring to watch.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her coach, AJ Scoppa, has been a huge inspiration. From day one, he saw something in her even when she was brand new. He’s helped shape her into not just a better athlete, but a stronger leader and student. He encourages her to push her limits, supports her beyond just sports, and holds her to a high standard. His belief in her has made a lasting impact, and I’m so grateful she has someone like him in her corner.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I’m most proud of when she started flag football her freshman year without any experience and worked her way into becoming a starting defensive rusher. She was determined studying, practicing, and pushing herself every day. Watching her grow from uncertain to confident, and from bench to starter, showed me just how driven and resilient she is. That moment still reminds me how unstoppable she can be when she sets her mind to something.
