Thank you for generously supporting Zayden in this year’s competition. Your support helps empower the V Foundation for Cancer Research and the Why Not You Foundation in their respective missions to save lives and empower today's youth to become tomorrow's leaders.
Zayden loves the friendship and community that sports provide. He is not an all star but loves encouraging others that struggle and will always give 100% of what is asked of him. He is a bigger boy and remains committed to doing what he needs to do extra to make weight. Sports has given him confidence in himself. Zayden loved the feeling of his team winning even if he didn’t get to play in the game.
He is inspired by wanting to be better even if it still means he won’t get many plays. He’s inspired by himself and others reaching their goals even when it’s hard.
His commitment to making weight for youth football. He will run an extra hour a day and run extra after practice. Even after he makes weight (which he has done for past 5 years) he will still run with the kids struggling to make weight. Last year he broke his arm the first week of football and he remained committed to making weight even though he knew he couldn’t play. In wrestling he went against another heavyweight that had 75lbs on him bc he refused to give him a free pass to the finals.
