Zayden loves everything about soccer—the competition, the teamwork, and the pure joy it brings. He had a ball at his feet before he could walk, and his passion has only grown. His love for the game started with his dad, who played every chance he got growing up in Jamaica. Practicing with his dad and friends is what Zayden enjoys most. He works hard to improve every day while balancing school and training with focus and heart.
Zayden is inspired by his dad, who passed down his love for soccer and still trains with him today. He’s also inspired by Leah, the daughter of a close friend of mine. Though they never met in person, they formed a special bond during our video chats. When she passed away from a brain tumor at age 9, it deeply impacted him. He now wears a pink bracelet in her honor and plays every game with heart, in memory of her strength and spirit.
One of the proudest moments in Zayden’s athletic journey was when he earned spots on both the Bavarian Club team and the prestigious Waves MLS Next team. These accomplishments reflect his dedication, talent, and relentless work ethic. Competing at such a high level while balancing academics is no easy task, but Zayden continues to rise to the challenge, proving that hard work and passion truly pay off.
