One of the things he loves most is the thrill of competing. Every game gives him a new challenge on what to work on, what he did wrong that could help him improve for his next whether it’s helping teammates get their shots or communicating on the court. He loves competing against other guys who share the same passion that he has for the sport.
Steph Curry is his biggest inspiration. His ability to facilitate the floor and get any shot that he wants. As a smaller guard himself, he tries to copy Steph’s game to the best of his ability. Off the court is his dad. There’s times when he doesn’t want to wake up for the gym, he’ll tell him something motivating that will make him realize he’s right and he’ll get up and go and put 110%. He motivates him to be a better person to his peers, teammates and family.
I’m most proud of my son’s consistent effort on the court. No matter the game or how he’s feeling, he always gives his best. He’s incredibly coachable, eager to learn, and always looking to improve. He’s a selfless teammate who plays for the team’s success, not just his own. His hard work, his heart, his ability to maintain a high GPA, attitude, and unselfishness make him stand out. He’s a kid of high integrity and truly make us proud in all aspects of his life.
