What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat Aaron loves most about baseball is the feeling of being part of something bigger than himself. He loves competing, making a big play when his team needs him, and celebrating with his teammates. As parents, our favorite part is watching his passion for the game motivate him to work harder, overcome challenges, and continually become a better player and teammate.
Aaron is inspired by Shohei Ohtani, who first sparked his love for baseball. Watching Ohtani excel as both a hitter and pitcher showed Aaron what is possible when you work hard and continue to challenge yourself. Off the field, Aaron is inspired by his mother, who practices with him every day and encourages him to keep improving, even when things are difficult. Her dedication has taught him that success comes from consistency, patience, and never giving up.
The moment that makes us proudest was watching Aaron compete in a tournament in Cooperstown. He had a great tournament individually, but what made us most proud was seeing him become a true leader. He encouraged his teammates, stayed positive under pressure, and celebrated their successes as much as his own. It was the moment we saw him begin to understand that being a great athlete isn't just about how you perform, but about the person and teammate you become along the way.
