Whether she is playing softball, basketball, soccer, or cheering, she loves pushing herself to improve, encouraging her teammates, and giving her best effort. Sports have taught her the value of hard work, teamwork, and never giving up.
Abby is inspired by her coaches and her mom. Her coaches push her to believe in herself, work hard, and keep improving even when things are difficult. Her mom inspires her through her strength, encouragement, and example. Together, they remind Abby that challenges can be overcome with perseverance, determination, and a positive attitude.
One of the things that makes me proudest is watching Abby continue to show up and work hard even when she faces challenges. She doesn’t give up when something is difficult. Instead, she keeps pushing, learning, and improving. Seeing her develop the strength and perseverance to keep going, while still supporting her teammates, reminds me that her greatest achievement is the person she is becoming.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
