What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Being competitive is a huge reason Abel loves playing sports. His first sport is soccer, basketball and he's also played flag football and now Jiu-Jitsu. He is also interested in trying out for Wrestling this HS year. That's how much he loves competition. He just loves knowing he can play any sport even if he's not great at it, he's always looking forward to trying and competing with determination.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Metta Artest because he's cool and he has a good mentality. He's strong and has good leadership skills.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When he played in the AYSO National Games 2025, scored some goals and his team took home the Championship. They were also recognized by the two cities we represent at their City Hall. It was such an awesome and proud moment especially since Abel has been apart of the AYSO community since 2016. One of our biggest AYSO accomplishments! Looking forward to the next upcoming championship win.
