What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Ace is inspired by his mom, who has taught him that difficult circumstances never get the final word. He has watched her keep moving forward through challenges, and that same determination shows up in him. He is also inspired by athletes who work for what they earn, stay humble and keep improving. To Ace, being great isn’t only about winningit’s about discipline, heart, character and refusing to quit.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Ace’s biggest inspiration is his mom. He has watched her face homelessness, court battles and uncertainty, yet continue fighting to rebuild their lives without giving up. That taught Ace that hard seasons don’t define your future how you respond does. On the field, he looks up to DK Metcalf and the Seattle Seahawks. His dream is to one day wear a Seahawks jersey himself, and he knows reaching that goal will take discipline, resilience and relentless work.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment is watching Ace refuse to give up on himself. Through homelessness, family changes, court battles and uncertainty, he has continued showing up with a love for sports and a dream bigger than his circumstances. He doesn’t just say he wants to play for the Seahawks one day he believes he can earn it. Watching him turn difficult experiences into motivation, discipline and determination makes me prouder than any trophy ever could.
