The grind that goes into being an athlete, the competition and the camaraderie with your teammates. Each sport played requires its own talents and it’s fun to mix it up and work hard with each season.
Addy is a huge fan of several athletes and coaches. Gabby Thomas is a huge inspiration to Addy as she is so well-rounded - an elite athlete, an Olympian, super smart, a philanthropist, always gives back and humble. She is a fan of the mentality and work ethic of Chris Sale, Alex Hugo and Skyler Wallace. She really looks up to her flag football coach, Coach Harwell, for never settling for less and creating a positive championship culture. She loves her trainer, Coach Quinton, for his discipline!
It might seem silly but aside from the walk-offs or game winning catches in championship games, I’ll always remember a time in her basketball game where the school camera girl got knocked over during introductions of the team and the rest of the team ran by laughing and Addy was the only one who stopped to pick-up her glasses and help her up. You can be one of the best athletes, but it’s your character that matters most!
