Adeline

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Addie loves everything softball teaches her beyond the field: how to grow, lead, support others, and be part of something bigger than herself. She loves being a playmaker, a teammate, a friend, and the loudest cheerleader in the dugout. Most of all, she loves taking the field with her teammates, competing hard, making memories, and soaking up every moment of a sport that has already shaped some of the best parts of her childhood.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Addie’s biggest inspiration is her dad. He rarely misses a practice, game, or tournament, because his motto is, “I’d rather my kids be annoyed by my presence than resent me for my absence.” And he lives it. He practices with her, invests in her dreams, celebrates the wins, lifts her through the losses, and reminds her that showing up matters. More than anything, Addie knows that no matter the score, her dad will always be there.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

In a championship game, Addie grounded out with the winning run in reach. She could have hung her head, but instead she went straight to the fence and became the loudest voice cheering for the next batter. When her teammate delivered the game-winning hit, Addie was the first out of the dugout to celebrate her. That moment made us proud because it showed who she is: a competitor who understands that the team’s success will always mean more than her own.
