Whether she is making a play, encouraging a teammate, or battling through a tough inning, she loves being part of something bigger than herself. Softball has given her confidence, friendships, and memories she will carry with her forever.
Adriana is inspired by the strong women and girls she sees competing at higher levels of softball. Seeing female athletes work hard and accomplish their goals reminds her that there is no limit to how far dedication can take her. She is also inspired by her coaches, teammates, and family, who believe in her, challenge her, and remind her to stay confident even when things don’t go her way.
Some of my proudest moments have come from watching Adriana respond when things don’t go her way. Softball can test your confidence, but she has learned to shake off a mistake, support her teammates, and be ready for the next play. Watching her become stronger mentally, more confident, and more determined has meant more to me than any trophy. I’m proud of the young athlete—and young woman—she is becoming.
