What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreAidan loves football because it brings out his competitive spirit while giving him a strong sense of purpose. He loves pushing himself to improve, facing challenges head-on and working toward a common goal. Most of all, football gives him the opportunity to build lasting relationships, support his teammates, and experience the pride that comes from working together toward something bigger than himself.
His primary inspiration is God and his unwavering faith. He has come to understand that God is always present with him, regardless of the circumstances, and His love is unconditional. This faith motivates him to love unconditionally, just like Jesus, which makes him a better teammate, athlete, and overall remarkable person.
Aidan’s proudest achievement was overcoming his first blood clot during the summer before his freshman year. Despite knowing that recovery would be challenging, his determination to play in his first game remained unwavering. He diligently worked and pushed himself to avoid disappointing his team and persevered through the pain, demonstrating his dedication to the sport he loves and when a clot occurred again his Junior year he knew he had the ability to overcome yet another setback.
