Receive Text UpdatesAikam loves everything about hockey—the excitement of being on the ice, scoring goals, making plays, and being part of a team. He loves challenging himself to get better and is always excited for his next practice or game. Most of all, hockey is where he has fun, builds confidence, and gets to compete while doing something he truly loves.
Aikam is inspired by his coaches and the hockey players he looks up to. He watches how they skate, compete, work hard, and support their teammates, and he wants to do the same. His coaches have taught him that getting better takes practice, effort, and a positive attitude. He loves learning new skills and then trying them himself on the ice.
When Aikam first learned to skate, he fell—a lot! But every single time, he got back up with a smile and tried again. He never got frustrated or wanted to quit; he just kept going. Watching him fall over and over and still be excited to try again made me incredibly proud. Now, seeing how far he has come and how much he loves hockey makes those early days even more special. That determination and positive attitude have stayed with him and are a big part of the athlete he is today.
