What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She loves the feeling of flying and twisting in the air. The exhaustion after a long practice knowing she put the work in to get better and succeed. She loves the pressure of competition, her teammates and coaches. She loves lifting people up and encouraging them to do their best because that’s all that matters. But most importantly she loves seeing improvement and not stopping until she gets to where she wants to be.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

For Aislyn, it’s not one thing that inspires her it is a multitude. To start she’s always taken inspiration from Ally Raismen because she started at an older age, had injuries, and still became an Olympic Medalist. Ally showed grit, determination, and perseverance which Aislyn aims to use every day. Most importantly Aislyn inspires herself because at the end of the day she knows the only person who can get her where she wants to be is her. And that gives her fuel and inspiration to keep going.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There is not just one defining moment because what makes me the proudest is her unwavering grit, perseverance, internal motivation and her intense loyalty to her team and coaches. Aislyn is a role model for her teammates, constantly cheering them on and building them up, sharing her journey, even going out of her way at competitions to build up others from various teams. She is a true champion in heart, soul, and determination.
