Alaiia loves gymnastics because it challenges her to be her best every day. She enjoys learning new skills, building confidence, and celebrating every accomplishment, big or small. Most of all, she loves the excitement of competing, making new friends, and doing what she loves while having fun.
Alaiia says her biggest inspiration is her Abu. He is always encouraging her, telling her what she needs to do to improve, and pushing her to be the best she can be. His support, guidance, and belief in her motivate her to work hard, never give up, and keep striving to reach her goals both on and off the mat.
The moment that makes me proudest is seeing Alaiia refuse to give up after a tough practice or competition. Instead of getting discouraged, she listens, works harder, and comes back stronger. Watching her earn new skills through determination and perseverance has shown me that gymnastics is shaping not only a talented athlete but also a confident, resilient young girl.
