Aleia loves that basketball is always teaching her something new. She enjoys being challenged, competing against strong players, and growing with her teammates. Whether she’s winning or facing a tough game, she loves learning, improving, and having fun. Basketball has given her confidence, lifelong friendships, and the chance to travel and experience opportunities she never imagined.
Aleia is inspired by the coaches who believe in her and push her to be her best. She appreciates the honest feedback they give because it helps her grow. She also looks up to athletes who stay humble, work hard, and lead by example. They remind her that talent can open doors, but character, discipline, and a willingness to learn are what create lasting success.
One of my proudest moments was watching Aleia earn a spot with FilAm Nation for the Global Summit Invitational in Maui. Soon after, she received a personal invitation to the MADE Hoops Northwest Camp. While those opportunities were exciting, what makes me proudest is hearing coaches consistently describe her as coachable, humble, and eager to learn. At just 13, she embraces every challenge with a positive attitude and a genuine love for the game.
