He loves the camaraderie of his teammates, the discipline and strategy of scoring, the grit of defending against the competition, the excitement of the comeback from a deficit, or the confidence when your team is up in points, but most of all is the character the game develops in the athlete he’s becoming that allows him to love the game more and more.
Giannis Antekoumpo is who inspires Alexander on the court and Magic Johnson is who continues to inspires Alexander off the court. These giants and legends from the game of basketball and businessmen, each in their own right truly embodies their love of the sport, their faith in God, and their exceptional ability to impact the broader communities through charities and faithful donations to kids and families who need assistance.
One moment in Alexander’s athletic journey that makes me the proudest was to see Alexander’s team win their championship game at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood,CA. His team struggled initially when there was only a few players on the team but they played hard, and won the game. Alexander has won many games and tournaments since then but, as I think about the boy who the doctors explained was never supposed to lift his arm above his head, play each game, I consider him blessed.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
