What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What he loves most about track and baseball is the chance to compete and constantly challenge himself to improve. In track, he loves the feeling of speed and seeing his hard work reflected in faster times. In baseball, he loves being part of a team, competing alongside his teammates, and the excitement of making a big play. Both sports have taught him discipline, determination, teamwork, and to always keep pushing himself to get better.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

David Ortiz and Noah Lyles inspire him the most. He admires David Ortiz for his confidence, leadership, and ability to perform in big moments, and Noah Lyles for his speed, determination, and confidence on the track. They both show him that success takes hard work, discipline, and believing in yourself. They inspire him to compete with confidence, keep improving, and enjoy the sport while working toward his goals.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments was watching him earn two medals at the TAAF Games of Texas and then finish 11th at the AAU Junior Olympics. Seeing him compete at that level after all the practices, sacrifices, and hard work was incredible. I was especially proud of how he handled the pressure, believed in himself, and kept competing against some of the best young athletes in the country. The medals and placing were special, but watching his confidence grow meant even more.
