I love playing basketball because it’s fun, I get to be with my teammates, and I like challenging myself to get better every day. Winning is awesome and a bonus, but my favorite part is working hard, learning new skills, and having fun doing something I enjoy.
My biggest inspiration our my parents, and my coaches/ trainers, because they always encourage me to do my best, never give up, and keep working hard even when things are tough. They all remind me in their own way that effort and a good attitude matter more than being perfect.
I’m most proud of the time I kept going even when things weren’t easy. I didn’t quit, I got out of my head and just moved forward and kept practicing, and finally saw myself improve mentally and physically. It showed me that hard work pays off and that I can do more than I thought I could.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
