What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Swimming has given him so much more than physical and mental strength. It has helped him build endurance, relieve stress, gain confidence, discipline, and become a strong team player. He especially loves competing in relays and cares deeply about his teammates, always giving his best to help the team reach the finals. He also loves traveling and creating memories with his team. He has been swimming since he was seven months old, and swimming has always been a special part of his life.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

What drives him most is his own desire to be the best version of himself. He sets his own goals, comes up with ideas, and works hard to make them a reality. My role as his mother is simply to support him, guide him, and help him navigate the path toward wherever he wants to go. He is inspired by athletes who understand the journey of being raised by a single mother and who turned their dreams into reality. He looks up to athletes such as Michae Phelps ,David Popovici and more others.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Some of his proudest moments have come from challenging himself beyond his comfort zone are :He has competed internationally, swimming with kids who speak different languages, and still finished 2nd in backstroke, taken on incredible challenges like swimming from Alcatraz and across the Golden Gate Bridge and Maui swim. Even after being at school from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., he still comes to practice exhausted but motivated to push himself to become the best version possible.
