What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She loves the challenge of pushing herself to get better while being part of a team. Whether she’s learning a new skill in gymnastics, racing for a personal best in the pool, or battling alongside her teammates on the lacrosse field, she loves seeing hard work pay off. Most of all, she loves encouraging her teammates, celebrating their successes, and having fun doing the sports she loves.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her biggest inspirations are her parents and siblings. Growing up in a family that believes in working hard, supporting one another, and showing up even when things are difficult has taught her to keep going. Her family is always on the sidelines, in the stands, or cheering her on at home, reminding her that success isn’t just about winning, it’s about hustling, giving max effort, character, resilience, and being a great teammate.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

After only six months of recreational gymnastics, she tried out for the competitive team and earned a second-look callback, but was told she needed another year to develop certain skills. Instead of giving up, she spent the next year working on exactly what she had been told to improve. She returned to tryouts the following year stronger, more confident, and determined, and earned her spot on the Level 3 competitive team. Watching her turn disappointment into motivation made us incredibly proud.
