Almalinda draws deep inspiration from collegiate athletes, channeling their high-intensity play into her own game. Seeing that standard of excellence fuels her drive to push past her limits every time she steps onto the field.
Watching Almalinda walk across the stage at Homer High School to receive the Female Athlete of the Year award last school year was such a proud moment. She works incredibly hard as a student-athlete, and her competitiveness, leadership, and heart shine every single time she steps onto any court or field. That relentless will to win and refusal to give up are what make her special—and why I’ll always be in the stands cheering on Almalinda and the Homer Mariners every chance I get!
