What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Amira loves soccer because it’s where she feels strongest, most confident, and completely herself. She thrives in the fast pace, the teamwork, and the challenge of every play. The field is her space to grow, lead, and inspire—whether she’s competing, mentoring U6 players, or reffing games. Soccer fuels her passion and gives her purpose.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My parents. They encourages me to give my all every time I am on the field & to treat every mistake as a lesson, not a setback. They comforts me in tough moments and cheers loudly from the stands in the proud ones. They teaches me to lean on my faith, my family, & my voice as an advocate for others. She is my biggest advocate on &off the field. They always put me & my brothers first.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When she was diagnosed with Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) & chose strength over fear, instead of stepping back, she made a promise to herself & to every child living with a rare disease that HAE would not define her or limit her dreams. She returned to the field with even greater determination, giving 100% every time she plays. Her resilience, courage, & commitment to inspiring others make this moment a defining part of her story & a powerful testament to the athlete she is.
