“My teammates inspire me because they always work hard and never give up. They cheer me on, help me when I make mistakes, and make hockey so much fun. We always try our best together, and they make me want to be a better player and a good teammate too.” -Amy
One of the moments that made me proud was when, at just 9 years old, Amy agreed to play a division up in an intermediate tournament against girls ages 10-14. She never backed down from the challenge. During one game, she earned a breakaway and scored bar down on a goalie five years older than her. More than the goal itself, I was proud of her confidence, courage, and willingness to step outside her comfort zone and believe in herself. -Mom
