What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

She likes the fact that wrestling is not only an individual sport where each person gets their own spotlight for their work but that it's also a team sport and the team as a whole gets accomplishments together while also gaining their own personal achievchiements while still supporting eachother through every win or loss. She also likes that its not only physically challenging but also mentally. She also enjoys getting to throw people around and get thrown around

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Her offseason coach inspires her because when shes exhausted & wants to quit her coach knows what to say & can tell when shes doubting herself, by pushing her through those tough moments he shows her shes much stronger than she thinks. Her coach taught her that making a mistake is not a failure, instead a chance to learn & improve. Because he believes in her, she has started to believe in herself. Her coach has shown her winning comes from the extra hours of hard work even when no one's watching

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

She told me she was scared to re-injure herself. Thought for a moment, then said when im scared I always second guess myself or get hurt. She then went to adidas nationals with excitement, came home an all american placing 5th place absolutely shocked with only minor scrapes. But it was a big moment as she learned fears only as big as she let's it be. Now she knows shes in control of her emotions now instead of crying and shaking before she steps on the mat shes smiling and actually having fun.
