What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What I love most about my sport is the competition and the community. I thrive on competing every day—in both games and practices, on and off the field. Just as importantly, sports bring people together, building a strong, united community made up of teammates from all different backgrounds.- Anderson

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

On the pitch, I’m inspired by Clint Dempsey. Coming from Nacogdoches, he proved that big dreams can come out of our small town. Seeing his relentless work ethic, grit, and devotion to his roots motivates me every time I travel, train, and step onto the field. Off the field, I am motivated by my family. From shuffling me from the football field to the track and onto the pitch, their endless sacrifices and constant support drive me to give my all in every sport I play. - Anderson

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When Anderson earned a spot on a higher-level soccer team, the move meant leaving his current squad. However, his original team was entering playoffs and facing relegation. Where many athletes would have moved on to their next chapter, Anderson refused to abandon his teammates when they needed him most. He stayed, fought relentlessly through the tournament, and scored the game-winning goal to keep his team in the league. Seeing his unwavering loyalty, grit, and leadership made me proud.
