What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Anderson loves being active, learning new skills, being competitive, and making new friendships with his teammates. He thrives on refining his skills and practicing these skills until they become second nature. He loves to challenge himself to become more proficient and competitive at all of his sports. He has become best friends with many of his teammates over the years and now they can be seen out golfing together in the off season! Sports give him a focus for his energy and keep him busy!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His papa is someone who inspires him. His papa passed away was when Anderson was young. He loved all of the same sports that Anderson does and continued to play them competitively into his adulthood. He was a really hard worker and dedicated himself to becoming great at every sport that he played. Anderson is the exact same! He uses his drive from his papa to practice everyday. Like his papa, Anderson does not like to give up - even if his team is down in a game, he’s ready for a comeback!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The first year Anderson tried out for his travel baseball team he was young and was trying out for an older team. He didn’t make it. This was upsetting but he knew he really wanted to play ball so he practiced all year and when he tried out again, he made it. His perseverance paid off and he’s been on that team for the last 2 years! Anderson’s spring hockey team went 16–0-1 one season. The competitive nature in him loved this! It was an impressive season and he played is heart out every shift!
