What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

His main 2 focuses right now are Football and Track. He is very versatile in football and has played multiple positions like quarterback, wide receiver and corner back. He is a very coach-able and reliable player. In track, he excels at triple jump and hurdles. He has a high vertical and longevity in his strides.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

With our samoan heritage, Andre carries the name of his great grandfather who was next in line to be high chief of our village but instead became the first samoan green beret for the us military. This gives him a high honors status with our family tribe. Because of this title, Andre has always felt the prideful urge to live up to his great grandfather's name.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

I raised my son to have immense integrity and good sportsmanship no matter the stats or score. Last track season, a teammate of his was running long distance and was in last place. So far behind that no one, not even the coaches, we're cheering him on anymore. Andre jogged beside him on the field so cheered him on so his teammate wasn't alone. He was the only student to do so. I was very proud of my child in that moment. It really showed his heart.
