Andrew

Andrew wasn’t a very experienced wrestler when he went out for wrestling in 8th grade. He worked hard and placed 6th at TOCs.

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Andrew loves all of it. The feeling of working as a team, the physical part of both wrestling and football, how he feels after a match and game. If Andrew had to pick one thing, it’s pushing himself to be the best version of himself.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Andrew’s friends, coaches and family inspire him by believing in him and motivating him to give it his all. His greatest inspiration are the Hall of Famers.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Andrew had lost his first match the Chieftain Classic tournament.and had lost his confidence. He changed his mindset, focused on the moves he did well and won the following three matches. He placed 3rd Place in the Chieftain Classic. I am extremely proud of him for overcoming the fear and anxiety he felt that morning and taking control.
