Learn MoreAndrew genuinely loves everything about sports. Whether he’s on the soccer field or golf course, he loves competing, learning, and challenging himself to get better. He’s naturally athletic, but what stands out most is the joy he has while playing. He loves being part of a team, celebrating his teammates, and simply being in the game. Behind a soccer ball or golf club is where Andrew feels most at home.
Without question, Andrew’s biggest inspiration is his dad. His dad played soccer through college and has passed that love of the game on to him. More importantly, he is Andrew’s biggest fan, coach, motivator, and role model. Andrew looks up to him in everything he does, and having his dad beside him encouraging him, teaching him, and believing in him has shaped the athlete and person Andrew is becoming.
For me, it isn’t one goal, win, or great round, it’s watching the kind of athlete Andrew is becoming. He is naturally talented, but I’m proudest when I see him encourage a teammate, shake off a mistake, listen to his coaches, and keep trying. Seeing his confidence and love for sports grow while he remains the same kindhearted kid makes me prouder than any score ever could.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
