Learn MoreWhat Aniya loves most about softball is that there is always something new to learn and a way to get better. She loves the excitement of competing, being part of a team, and knowing that all of her hard work can make a difference.
The person who inspires her the most is her dad. He always encourages her to work hard, believe in herself, and never give up, even when things get difficult. He supports her in everything she does and reminds her that mistakes and challenges are part of getting better.
One of our proudest moments was when Aniya’s coach told us that she has one of the best attitudes on the team and is so coachable. As parents, that meant more to us than any statistic or accomplishment could. Aniya is always willing to listen, learn, work hard, and accept coaching because she genuinely wants to become better. Knowing that her coach recognizes those qualities in her makes us incredibly proud—not just of the athlete she is becoming, but of the young lady she is becoming.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
