What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love challenging myself. I work hard everyday and show up at my best. I always want to contribute in a huge way to my teams. I also enjoy mentoring the younger guys I play with. I appreciate the older guys too who work with me and we all go after the “W” no matter what. My family always reminds me to shine my light given by God’s grace so I work to win to be the best but know whatever happens win/loss I am growing everyday for the better.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My family is close and inspires me. My parents and other family members work hard. They inspire me to always bring my A game. Everyday I wake up and remember all the hate comments I get words like “you suck” or “you can’t do this” or “you are only fast because of your parents”. Well that’s not true. I work harder than most people everyday and those comments motivate me more to do even more work. My mom always says “sticks and stones will break my/ your bones, but words will never hurt me/you”.
