What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

With all the sports I play, basketball, soccer, track and field, I love that I can go out on the court, field, or track and use my skills, show myself, and coaches that I’m not just here to have fun, but to grow in my skills, get better, take in the coaching I get through out the years. Also to lead others to put their best effort in being a leader, and a great team mate to the teams I am on. Just the love always being able to move, try new things.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

On and off the field the person that inspires me is my Mom. She not only supports me, and motivates me on, and off the field, she never lets me quit. She always tells me I am capable of anything I dream to conquer. I watched her survive cancer, and never gave up, even on her worst days she was made sure she was there. She inspires me too keep going, and to never give up, even when it gets hard.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that made me a proud athlete was this previous Mother’s Day, I had a travel soccer game, the only thing my mom asked for was a goal. Game starts, 5 minutes into the game I score the first goal. I looked right into the stands pointed to my mom, so she knew that goal was just for her. The smile, and cheering my mom gave me was everything. I love making her proud!
