What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Ariel loves the grind, the competition, and the chance to compete at a higher level. As a rising freshman, she had the opportunity to play summer ball with our local High School State Championship team, which she's now attending. She values the friendships basketball builds and inspires youth and adults with her work ethic and leadership. The grind of basketball also prepares her for the real world, shaping her into someone her peers deeply respect.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

God is also a big inspiration for Ariel. Additionally, Ariel is inspired by Anthony Edwards’ fire and by Flau’jae’s energy; especially after meeting Flau’jae and declaring, “I’m going to start balling like her.” Her biggest inspiration is her father, who taught her mental toughness and the importance of working on herself no matter what’s happening around her. That strength shows every time she steps on the court, and it makes me incredibly proud.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

When Ariel tore her meniscus in 7th grade, she never quit. She attended all practices and help coached from the bench (Coach called her his Assistant), supported her AAU team after surgery, walked the track on crutches, trained her upper body, and studied leadership 101 to stay sharp. When she returned, she came back stronger winning the 8th‑grade championship and earning All‑Tournament honors. Her dedication inspires beyond words. It so hard to put her impact into words.
